Action Items:
Marc Pawliger requested that the D1 L.G. Board write a letter to the S.J. Planning Department & city council outlining its concerns about the Costco project.

Motions Passed:
Approved 5.18.24 minutes.

Steve Ling opened the meeting at 9:07 am, and introduced board officers.

Vice-Mayor Kamei: Updates on Saratoga/Stevens Creek site, new encampment database, Urban Village, Costco, Vacant Gas stations on Saratoga Ave., vacant land sites on south Winchester Blvd, and abandoned vehicles and RVs. Requested city to provide more pro-active code enforcement, and introduced her new staff.

Treasurer’s report: $2,806.16 bank balance at 9/28/24. Need to re-budget grant driveway party funds.

Neighborhood Commission reports: None.

Neighborhood Roundtable reports:
Discussion involved-traffic/pedestrian safety, emergency prep, & CERT.

Event Planning Ideas (Ashesh Singh): Need leaders, interesting events, sub committees, & knowledge of neighbors’ concerns.

Captain Torres: Searching for new police chief. Concerns: Threats to schools, homelessness, and car donut shows.

Costco Report (March Pawliger): Site too small, inadequate parking, poor traffic flow, no change between DEIR & final EIR, no plan for noise abatement, and no funding help from Costco. S.J. Council votes 10/22 on final EIR.
