Snippets of the 2018 D1 Bike Ride and Roll Park Tour
The 2018 Bike, Ride and Roll tour consisted of stops at eight City of San Jose parks plus a ride-by a pocket park and quick stop at a volunteer-maintained, school-owned, baseball facility. Over 50 people participated in the tour using various forms of human-scale mobility solutions, such as bikes, e-bikes, e-scooters and even an electric unicycle.
Park leads provided insight at each parks and a tasty lunch greeted the riders when they returned to the starting point at Marijane Hamann. Thanks to all the volunteers – A. Miller, B. Batinich, G. Cunningham, S. Gould, L. Liu and the Girl Scout Troop, D. Livezey, B. Levy, J. Reber, R. Tabibian, V. Navarra and D. Wolfe – who helped make it such a fun day, as well as Bird, City of San Jose Department of Transportation, San Jose Parks Foundation, Silicon Valley Bike Coalition and Tempo Bicycles for their great support of our event!
